Autotix ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Autotix platform, which automates the creation of support and development tickets from error reports and inbound email. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, company name, and password (stored as a one-way hash).

Integration Credentials: We store API tokens and server URLs you provide to connect third-party services (e.g., Jira, OpenAI). These are encrypted at rest using AES-256 (Fernet) encryption.

Error & Email Data: We process error payloads and inbound emails that your systems send to our webhook endpoints. This data is used solely to create tickets in your configured project management tool.

Usage Data: We collect standard log data including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited to operate and improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Autotix service
  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • Process error data and create tickets on your behalf
  • Send transactional emails (password resets, welcome messages)
  • Respond to support requests

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Third-party integrations you configure (e.g., Jira, OpenAI) — only the data needed to create tickets
  • Infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email delivery) under strict data processing agreements
  • Legal authorities when required by law

5. Data Security

We employ industry-standard security measures including encrypted credential storage (AES-256), hashed passwords (bcrypt), HTTPS-only connections, and role-based access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Error and email data processed through our webhooks is retained for 90 days for debugging and audit purposes, then automatically purged. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

7. Your Rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. If you are in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to restrict processing.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for session management and authentication. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
